{"id":773,"date":"2022-07-14T16:58:40","date_gmt":"2022-07-14T16:58:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.tarleton.edu\/healthservices\/?page_id=773"},"modified":"2026-01-08T19:52:07","modified_gmt":"2026-01-08T19:52:07","slug":"services","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/health-services\/services\/","title":{"rendered":"Services"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Services<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To see a provider is currently at no cost\/lab medical tests costs are a minimal additional fee<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Care of minor acute illnesses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant by appointment (if unable to web book, call&nbsp;<a href=\"tel:2549689271\">254-968-9271<\/a>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<a href=\"tel:2549689936\">254-968-9936<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consultations regarding any primary health problem (non-emergent issues)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>First aid treatment of minor injuries, suturing simple lacerations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sport injury evaluation and treatment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Administration of allergy injections as directed by student\u2019s allergist<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Blood pressure checks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In house lab tests\/medical tests ordered by your provider are available<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medications and other supplies available for the treatment of minor acute illnesses and injuries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Various medical equipment available by loan (Crutches, nebulizers, with more to come at the Stephenville campus)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Continuation of health care following surgery or any illness as directed by physician<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vaccines Available (TDAP, Bacterial Meningitis, flu)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assistance with referral to physician or hospital when deemed necessary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health literature is available<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Women\u2019s Health \u2013 birth control, physical exam,&nbsp;<strong>by appointment only<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In house X-Ray capability and interpretation available at the Stephenville campus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IV fluids as ordered per provide<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>TB tests<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"information has-texan-white-color has-tarleton-purple-background-color has-text-color has-background\"><sup>1<\/sup> Only Available at the Stephenville Location<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Well Women Exams<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The exam includes a complete physical examination, including pelvic and breast exam. A PAP smear may be required, as well as testing for Chlamydia\/Gonorrhea. The appointment will take about 45 minutes, which includes time for paperwork. Forms of birth control will be discussed, as requested.
