You are responsible for all degree requirements and, as such, should check with your faculty advisor or the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/catalog.tarleton.edu\/\">current university catalog<\/a>&nbsp;for specific requirements and dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">First Semester<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before registering for classes for your first semester:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Meet with representative\/advisor\/faculty in the academic department of interest for advising and clearance of advising block.<\/li><li>Apply for scholarships, financial aid, and graduate assistantships if qualified. Be sure to note deadlines for consideration.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Second Semester<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to completing your registration for your second semester of classes, please complete the following action items:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Contact your academic advisor regarding your official degree plan.<\/li><li>Submit your&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ets.org\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">GRE<\/a>\/<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mba.com\/the-gmat.aspx?WT.mc_id=55.00821\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">GMAT<\/a>\/<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pearsonassessments.com\/haiweb\/Cultures\/en-US\/site\/Community\/PostSecondary\/Products\/MAT\/mathome.htm\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MAT<\/a>&nbsp;scores if require.<\/li><li>Develop a draft proposal in conjunction with your Advisory Committee.<\/li><li>Submit your proposal to the College of Graduate Studies for approval.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final Semester<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In anticipation of your final semester, you will need to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Find a degree plan with the College of Graduate Studies before registering for classes.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/graduation\/\">Apply for graduation<\/a>&nbsp;online in the last full semester before your planned semester of graduation.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-white-color has-text-color has-background is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\" style=\"background-color:#4f2d7f\">\n<p class=\"info cert-pic-info-link\"><i class=\"fa fa-info-circle\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i>\nPlease note the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/graduation\/apply-for-graduation\/\">graduation application deadlines listed on the university calendar<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>During your final semester you will be require to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Contact academic advisor regarding your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/graduate\/current\/oral-comp-exams\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/graduate\/current\/oral-comp-exams\/\">comprehensive assessment<\/a>\u00a0and check calendar for deadlines.<\/li><li>Submit defended, final, committee-approved thesis\/dissertation to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/graduate\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/171\/2022\/07\/proquest-submission.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ProQuest<\/a>.<\/li><li>Contact the campus bookstore to order your academic regalia in order to participate in commencement.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n<style class=\"advgb-styles-renderer\">\np a{\n color: unset !important;\n}\n<\/style>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Master&#8217;s Student Responsibility Timeline Please use the following information as a guide in completing all necessary requirements to obtain your master\u2019s degree.
