All programs are TEKS aligned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One adult sponsor required per 15 students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Schedule 1 to 1 1\/2 hours for a visit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Suggested two weeks advanced planning, longer for your optimal dates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No admission fee for student or home school field trip groups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The W. K. Gordon Museum is fully disabled accessible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive through bus parking is available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To schedule a tour please contact the museum at 254-968-1886 or gordoncenter@tarleton.edu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:13px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Available Programs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:3px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scavenger Hunt<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Students will see a short video and experience a hands-on scavenger hunt. They will read, touch, listen and explore the museum to find answers about what life was like for the immigrant coal miners and brick workers in a company-owned town. Students will also learn about primary sources, artifacts and a museum\u2019s purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Self-Guided Tour<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Teachers can guide students through the museum exhibits with their own curriculum in mind.
