Artifact Donation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The W.K. Gordon Museum actively collects memorabilia, photographs, and artifacts relating to the people, industry, company, and site of Thurber, Texas. The focus of the permanent exhibits in the W.K. Gordon Museum is the development of the coal, brick, and petroleum industries in the Thurber vicinity. A special collections library and research area permit serious examination of life in Thurber and in other areas of industrial development in Texas and the Southwest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The W. K. Gordon Museum and Research Center for Industrial History of Texas, a research facility of Tarleton State University, is a combined museum and special collections library. Located at the site of the Thurber ghost town, its interactive exhibits explore the birth and death of a company town.
