Night at the Opera House

From the 1920s to the 1930s, Thurber's famous Opera House showed silent and black & white films. The Night at the Opera House is a free public program that features films shown during this time period. Films are shown in the W.K. Gordon's recreated Opera House located inside the museum.

Stay tuned for our fall movie schedule!

Preschool Storytime-Every 2nd and 4th Thursday 10:00 am

Bring your favorite little reader out for a morning of stories and crafts! On May 9 we will read "Rainbow Fish," by Marcus Pfister. We will make bluebonnets to take home. While this event is aimed at 3-5 year olds everyone is welcome to join us for storytime!

This event is free and open to the public. Reservations are requested to ensure there are enough craft supplies. Let us know you're coming on our online calendar or by contacting us at either GordonCenter@tarleton.edu or 254-968-1886.

Science at the Center: Circuits and Robots!-Saturday, May 11, 2:00 PM

Kids in grades 3-5 are invited to join us for a day of exploration in the world of circuits and robots! We will learn about how circuits work and put that knowledge to use by making our own bristlebot to take home.

This event is free but reservations are required in order to make sure we have enough materials on hand for everyone to make their own bristlebot. Let us know your child plans on joining us by using our online calendar, calling us at 254-968-1886, or emailing us at GordonCenter@tarleton.edu

Parents are welcome to stay for the program but are not required to do so.
