Town Hall is a high-impact design for Federal Government (GOVT 2305) and Texas Government (GOVT 2306) courses at Tarleton State University. Developed and coordinated by Tarleton faculty, the goal of the Town Hall model is to improve students’ civic engagement and community involvement. The Town Hall design is characterized by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. A Class format consisting of two 50-minute lectures and one 50-minute “lab” (also known as a breakout session). Each breakout session has an assigned topic. Topics for the upcoming semester are listed below; and <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. A semester-long project involving the breakout session topic and leading up to a special campus-wide event near the end of the semester.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>
