The Faculty/Staff Campaign provides an opportunity for Tarleton employees to help enhance the quality of the University's programs through their financial contributions.
Gifts from faculty and staff are an endorsement of the University, announcing to alumni, friends, foundations, and corporations that Tarleton State University is an institution worthy of support and that support begins at "home."
It is important to know that 100% of your gift goes directly to the area designated by you and that even small gifts matter and are greatly appreciated. There truly is strength in numbers. The power of every gift, of every size, is multiplied thousands of times over.

Why is faculty/staff giving so important to Tarleton?
Gifts from faculty and staff provide funding for important initiatives campus-wide. Gifts from faculty and staff are also an endorsement of the University, announcing to alumni, friends, foundations, and corporations that Tarleton State University is an institution worthy of support and that support begins at "home."
How is Faculty/Staff Campaign different from other fundraising efforts on campus?
Faculty/Staff Campaign contributions are used internally for Tarleton's individual programs, projects, and endowments. Faculty/Staff Campaign donors choose where they want their gifts to be used according to their interest areas within the university.
The State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) focuses on external charities. Gifts to the SECC support charities state-wide and are not related to the annual Faculty/Staff Campaign. Although these gifts do not support Tarleton initiatives, they do support and promote goodwill to our community and beyond.
When will faculty and staff be asked to make a gift?
The active phase of the Faculty/Staff Campaign is from the beginning of March through mid April. However, the Campaign is a year-round effort and gifts may be given at any time. Regardless of the timing of your gift, your participation will be recognized in the active phase of the Faculty/Staff Campaign.
May I designate my gifts to a particular area of the university?
Yes! The Faculty/Staff Campaign is the perfect opportunity for you to make an annual gift and show your support for your favorite campus initiative or academic department.
How will my gift be used?
It's your choice! You can designate your gift to any college, department, program, scholarship, or other initiative that you believe in at Tarleton.
How much of my gift will actually go the the fund(s) I select?
100 percent goes to the funds you have designated!
Is my gift confidential?
Yes. Each gift amount is kept confidential. The Development staff handles your giving information confidentially and with care.
Not everyone can afford to make a large contribution. What difference could a small gift make?
Each gift, no matter how big or how small, is important. Whatever amount, your gift shows that you believe in the fund you have chosen to support. There are many funds that receive a large number of "small" gifts.

How do I make my gift?
To make a one-time gift:
- Cash: Drop off in person at the Office of Development, Tarleton Center Room 213. Please do not send cash through the mail, to ensure your gift is secure.
- Check: Make payable to Tarleton State University.
- Credit Card: Make your gift online.

How do I get a gift form?
You may download and print a campaign form or contact the Office of Development at (254)968-9769.
What do I need to know about payroll deduction?
Your gift will be automatically deducted from your pay each pay period beginning with the month you determine and continue until further notice. You may change your gift amount or designation at any time by contacting the Office of Development. Deductions are a minimum of $5.00 per pay period for a minimum of six consecutive months or pay periods. One-time payroll deductions cannot be processed.
How can I designate a gift in honor of or in memory of an individual?
To designate a gift in honor of a living individual or in memory of a deceased individual, faculty and staff should include a note with their completed gift forms that list the following (as applicable):
- The name of the individual being honored and his or her mailing address. A card will be sent to the let the individual know a gift was made in his or her honor.
- The name of the individual being memorialized, and the name and mailing address of the family member who should be notified of the gift. Please also not the relationship of the family member to the deceased.
Will my gift through Faculty/Staff Campaign qualify me for the President's Circle?
Yes. Your undesignated gift of $1,000 or more per year qualifies you for membership in the President's Circle. Your gift, along with those of other Circle members, will work together to allow the president to seize opportunities that otherwise may very well be lost.
Gifts may be made by payroll deduction, cash, credit card, or securities. For gifts of payroll deduction, a monthly contribution of $83.34 for 12 months will qualify a donor for membership.

What is the Corporate Matching Gift Program?
Employees whose spouses work for companies that offer a matching gift program have an opportunity to double or even triple their gifts. The Corporate Matching Gift Program is a service provided by many companies that will match contributions from their employees to institutions of higher education. The donor's spouse will need to contact the employee services department of his or her employer to obtain the appropriate matching gift form. The matching gift form should then be completed and sent to:
