Not only does Tarleton State Fort Worth have a variety of student organizations for you to choose from, but students also have the opportunity to create their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>If you want to be a part of an organization, but it is not offered on campus, the process of getting it started is simple.<br>New student organizations at Tarleton State University register through TexanSync. This person will handle all registration details. If it does not, leave this section blank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Organization Description<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Submit a short description explaining the organization&#8217;s purpose and what students can expect from the RSO. This information will be displayed on the organization&#8217;s TexanSync profile. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">External Website<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">This field is optional.<\/span> Submit ONLY if the Registered Student Organization already has a website outside of TexanSync established. For example, this could be a national organization\u2019s webpage that members may need to reference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students do not need to create a separate website to register their new RSO. A TexanSync organization page will be created as part of the registration process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Social Media<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">This field is optional.<\/span> Submit existing social media accounts. Social media account creation is not required to register the student organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Contact Information<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enter the contact information for the organization, such as the organization&#8217;s email and the city, state, and ZIP code where it is located. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Additional Information<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Submit meeting times and locations, dues\/membership fees, advisor names, and the main campus location. Students will enter the member\u2019s email and select their position within the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The roster should include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>President<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Risk Management Officer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Treasurer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advisor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least three participants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When adding each member, ensure they are assigned to the correct position. Before uploading the document, review the Constitution\/Bylaws requirements below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Constitution\/Bylaws should address<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Organization purpose and description<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Membership requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Officer positions and responsibilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Officer removal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Officer academic requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pledge requirements, if applicable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Membership discipline and judicial procedures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advisor requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finances<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nondiscrimination<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anti-hazing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accommodations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upload the completed document into TexanSync<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tip: Ensure the RSO\u2019s Constitution\/Bylaws are finalized before submitting the registration.
