New Campus, New Opportunities

Tarleton has been part of the Fort Worth community for more than 40 years. And with the opening of the first building on our stunning new 80-acre campus in fall 2019, we're setting the stage for an even brighter future.

About Building I

Located at 10636 Old Granbury Road

The first building is a three-story, 76,000-square-foot, multipurpose academic facility that is hard to miss from the Chisholm Trail Parkway, sitting at the highest point of the 80 acres donated by Walton Development. In addition to innovative learning areas, common gathering spaces, offices and a large event area, the $41 million facility boasts a convenient one-stop shop for student support services and a counseling center.

Hickman Building

40 Years In The Making

In August 2019 Tarleton Fort Worth will move its operations from the Hickman Building on Camp Bowie Boulevard to the first building of its permanent home along Chisholm Trail Parkway

Our history in Fort Worth dates to the 1970s when the C.C. Terrell Memorial School of Medical Technology asked us to assume its operations. We admitted the first class of eight students in 1978.

After outgrowing the original building on West Myrtle Street, Tarleton moved in the '90s to Enderly Place in Fort Worth's Medical District. In 2006 we rented most of the Hickman Building, becoming the first state-support school in Fort Worth to offer bachelor's degrees.
