Students must maintain SAP to ensure continued financial support, please review the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/finaid\/manage-aid\/satisfactory-academic-progress\/\">SAP requirements<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Attendance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tarleton State University\u2019s Office of Financial Aid actively monitors your attendance at specific periods to determine if you have demonstrated attendance in accordance with enrollment requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-advgb-adv-tabs advgb-tabs-wrapper advgb-tab-horz-desktop advgb-tab-vert-tablet advgb-tab-stack-mobile advgb-tabs-a92c731f-d7b8-4b9e-b108-6950bc4d8b69\" data-tab-active=\"0\"><ul class=\"advgb-tabs-panel\"><li class=\"advgb-tab\" style=\"background-color:#e2e2e2;border-style:none;border-width:1px;border-radius:0px\"><a id=\"\" href=\"#advgb-tabs-tab0\" style=\"color:#000000\"><span>Prior to Disbursement<\/span><\/a><\/li><li class=\"advgb-tab\" style=\"background-color:#e2e2e2;border-style:none;border-width:1px;border-radius:0px\"><a id=\"\" href=\"#advgb-tabs-tab1\" style=\"color:#000000\"><span>Official Census Date<\/span><\/a><\/li><li class=\"advgb-tab\" style=\"background-color:#e2e2e2;border-style:none;border-width:1px;border-radius:0px\"><a id=\"\" href=\"#advgb-tabs-tab2\" style=\"color:#000000\"><span>Dropping a Course<\/span><\/a><\/li><li class=\"advgb-tab\" style=\"background-color:#e2e2e2;border-style:none;border-width:1px;border-radius:0px\"><a id=\"\" href=\"#advgb-tabs-tab3\" style=\"color:#000000\"><span>Official and Unofficial Withdrawals<\/span><\/a><\/li><\/ul><div class=\"advgb-tab-body-wrapper\" style=\"border-style:none;border-width:1px;border-radius:0px\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-advgb-tab advgb-tab-body-container\"><div class=\"advgb-tab-body-header advgb-tab-class-\">Prior to Disbursement<\/div><div class=\"advgb-tab-_4c5845-b6 advgb-tab-body\" aria-labelledby=\"advgb-tabs-tab0\">\n<p>Tarleton State University&#8217;s Office of Financial Aid will check your enrollment status prior to disbursement of any financial aid funds. Tarleton will adjust aid based on enrollment status (hours enrolled).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-advgb-tab advgb-tab-body-container\"><div class=\"advgb-tab-body-header advgb-tab-class-\">Official Census Date<\/div><div class=\"advgb-tab-_f2ef38-18 advgb-tab-body\" aria-labelledby=\"advgb-tabs-tab1\">\n<p>The financial aid census date is the 12th day of the enrollment period. This means that if you are receiving Federal Pell Grant and you drop a class before the census date (12th day of the enrollment period) your Federal Pell Grant may be reduced. If you add a class following the census date, your Pell Grant will not be increased. You will receive notification via your go.tarleton.edu email if you will be subject to an adjustment.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-advgb-tab advgb-tab-body-container\"><div class=\"advgb-tab-body-header advgb-tab-class-\">Dropping a Course<\/div><div class=\"advgb-tab-_f322ca-61 advgb-tab-body\" aria-labelledby=\"advgb-tabs-tab2\">\n<p>All financial aid may be adjusted if you&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/registrar\/registration\/drop-info\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">drop a course or add a course<\/a>&nbsp;throughout the semester. Please review information about dropping a course.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-advgb-tab advgb-tab-body-container\"><div class=\"advgb-tab-body-header advgb-tab-class-\">Official and Unofficial Withdrawals<\/div><div class=\"advgb-tab-_1eed9c-84 advgb-tab-body\" aria-labelledby=\"advgb-tabs-tab3\">\n<p>Tarleton State University\u2019s Office of Financial Aid will adjust your financial aid if an official or unofficial withdrawal occurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please carefully review information about&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/finaid\/manage-aid\/withdrawal\/\">official and unofficial withdrawals<\/a>&nbsp;if you are considering withdrawing or dropping classes while receiving financial aid. If you are unsure about how this will impact your current or future financial aid, please visit us in-person to speak with an Advisor or email the&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:finaid@tarleton.edu\">Office of Financial Aid<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Financial Aid Overawards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Federal regulations require colleges to consider all educational financial assistance to be calculated in determining student eligibility. If it is determined an over award has occurred and needs to be resolved, it may result in funds being returned to an aid program and the student owing the University money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Financial assistance includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Loans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scholarships<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Waivers, fellowships &amp; assistantships<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work-Study<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Specific Veteran educational benefits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Athletic Grants-In-Aid<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Programs used to cover postsecondary educational expenses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>An overaward will be caused when a student receives more aid than their:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Financial Need<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enrollment eligibility<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cost of Attendance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You will be notified to your go.tarleton.edu email if we have to adjust any financial aid due to an overaward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Repeated Coursework<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Office of Financial Aid monitors courses that are repeated (retaken). You may repeat the course and receive financial aid until you&#8217;ve passed the course with a &#8220;D&#8221; or better. If you choose to repeat the course again (as a degree requirement or to boost your GPA) it can be counted for aid only one more time.
