Federal Direct Parent&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/finaid\/typesofaid\/direct-plus\/\">PLUS loan<\/a>&nbsp;funding may also be available for dependent undergraduate students. Post-baccalaureate students are <strong>not<\/strong> eligible for state or federal grant programs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-black-color has-text-color has-background is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\" style=\"background-color:#e1e1e1\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">General Eligibility Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To be considered for federal loans, post-baccalaureate students must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have a complete FAFSA for the aid year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be admitted into a degree or be approved for a preparatory program for admission to an undergraduate or graduate program at Tarleton State University<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be enrolled in at least 6 credits each term<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not owe a repayment on a previous grant and not be in default on a previous federal student loan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/finaid\/manage-aid\/satisfactory-academic-progress\/\">Satisfactory Academic Progress<\/a>&nbsp;(SAP)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete the&nbsp;electronic Post-Baccalaureate form&nbsp;annually<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who Is Eligible to Complete the Post-Baccalaureate Form?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students who are not admitted into an undergraduate or graduate degree-seeking program and are taking pre-requisite coursework in order to be admitted into an undergraduate or graduate degree at Tarleton State University.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students who have previously earned a bachelor\u2019s degree and are admitted into a second bachelor\u2019s degree program at Tarleton State University.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Post-Baccalaureate Annual Federal Loan Limits<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The amount of federal student loans a post-baccalaureate student is eligible to borrow per year is based on their dependency status and their class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Complete the Post-Baccalaureate Form<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who need financial aid consideration for Post-Baccalaureate coursework must complete the <strong>Post-Baccalaureate Form in Kuali<\/strong>. <strong>Paper forms are no longer accepted.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This form helps determine your financial aid eligibility for your 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Bachelor\u2019s degree or required prerequisite coursework for admission into a new program. *<strong><em>IMPORTANT: Courses taken to improve the student\u2019s grade point average do not qualify for financial aid.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please follow the steps below to complete the form correctly and avoid delays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1: Log in to Kuali<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in using your Tarleton State NTNET credentials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Navigate to <strong>Student Financial Assistance services<\/strong> and select the <strong>Post Baccalaureate Form<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2: Confirm Your Program and Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Indicate the program you are preparing to enter (e.g., Nursing, Teacher Education, Graduate School).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm that the coursework you are listing is required for admission to your intended program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 3: Enter Your Academic Advisor\u2019s Information<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide the <strong>name and email address<\/strong> of your Tarleton State Academic Advisor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The advisor must verify that the coursework listed is required for your program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 4: List All Required Courses<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You must list <em>all<\/em> courses you will take during the Post Baccalaureate period.<br>The form requires you to enter courses for <strong>all three academic terms<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Fall<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Spring<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Summer<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For each course, provide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Course Title<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subject and Course Number (e.g., BIOL 2401)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Credit Hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Term the course will be taken<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure the information matches your advisor\u2019s recommendations and the university catalog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 5: Students Exceeding 12 Months of Coursework<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you will need <strong>more than 12 calendar months<\/strong> to complete your required courses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your Academic Advisor must clearly state this on the form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your form cannot be approved without this confirmation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 6: Review and Submit the Form<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Double-check all information for accuracy before submitting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Submit<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The form will automatically route to your academic advisor for review and approval.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 7: Track Your Form<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You will receive <strong>email updates<\/strong> each time a step is completed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may log in to Kuali at any time to monitor your form\u2019s status.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important Information<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Only prerequisite coursework required for your intended program may be included.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Failure to list all required courses may delay financial aid processing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Courses unrelated to program admission cannot be funded.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your financial aid eligibility will be determined based on the approved
