Documents include, but are not exclusive to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Letter of Intent to Hire that includes a start date and position title;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Teacher Service Record with authorized signature showing required number of years of classroom teaching for issuance of the standard certification; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proof of enrollment in an internship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-advgb-column advgb-column advgb-is-two-thirds-tablet advgb-is-full-mobile\" id=\"advgb-col-a28a193c-4b2c-4f1e-aaf0-c7441c11e14c\"><div class=\"advgb-column-inner\" style=\"border-style:none;border-width:1px\">\n<p><strong>Counselor, Principal, and Superintendent<\/strong>&nbsp;students may apply for either an Intern Certificate or a Probationary Certificate.&nbsp;<strong>Educational Diagnosticians<\/strong>&nbsp;may only apply for a Probationary Certificate. The associated TExES exam must be passed before applying for a Probationary Certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/tea.texas.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TEA Website<\/a>&nbsp;and click on &#8220;TEAL Login&#8221; at the top. Log in and click on &#8220;View My Educator Certification Account.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once you have logged in and updated your profile information as necessary, choose &#8220;Applications&#8221; on the left-hand side menu. Then choose either \u201cIntern Certificate\u201d or &#8220;Probationary Certificate.&#8221; \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Counselors and Superintendents<\/strong> &#8211; If you have not passed your TExES exam, you will apply for an Intern Certificate. If you have passed your TExES exam, you will apply for a Probationary Certificate. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ed Diags <\/strong>&#8211; Tarleton does not allow Ed Diags to apply for Intern Certificates. You must pass your TExES exam and apply for the Probationary Certificate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Principals <\/strong>&#8211; You must have passed the Principal as Instructional Leader examination to be eligible for an Intern or Probationary Certificate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A series of questions will be asked. Please answer the questions honestly. If you have any questions on how to answer, please contact TEA at&nbsp;<a href=\"tel:+15129368400\">512-936-8400<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the application, it will ask for Recommending Entity. If you do not select the correct entity, we will not be able to process your application.
