{"id":832,"date":"2022-08-15T17:00:54","date_gmt":"2022-08-15T17:00:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.tarleton.edu\/eps\/?page_id=832"},"modified":"2026-02-12T21:36:38","modified_gmt":"2026-02-12T21:36:38","slug":"apply","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/eps\/field\/apply\/","title":{"rendered":"Apply to Clinical Teaching"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Apply to Clinical Teaching<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>You must meet all the following prerequisites to apply to clinical teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-black-color has-text-color has-background is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\" style=\"background-color:#d9d6da\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Apply to the Teacher Education Program (TEP)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to seeking admission for clinical teaching, students must have applied or been admitted to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/eps\/tep\/apply-now\/\">Tarleton Teacher Education Program<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group white-links has-white-color has-text-color has-background is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\" style=\"background-color:#424242\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-white-color has-text-color\">Step 2: Meet all Prerequisites Outlined by Content Area(s)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/eps\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/225\/2022\/08\/elementary-clinical-teachers-information.pdf\">Elementary<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/eps\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/225\/2022\/08\/sec._alllevel_information.pdf\">Secondary\/All-Level<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-black-color has-text-color has-background is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\" style=\"background-color:#d9d6da\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Attend a Mandatory Meeting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You must attend one of the clinical teaching meetings either by Zoom or Zoom recording before applying. This is where you will be given the information to apply and advised of any changes to the program. You must meet the application deadline to be eligible for placement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"warning has-texan-white-color has-text-color has-background\" style=\"background-color:#bf3d25\"> Clinical teachers  <b>must attend<\/b> a mandatory live or recorded Zoom meeting to qualify for placement. Zoom links will be sent out via the EAB notification system to your go.tarleton.edu email account or sent by course instructors. Comprehensive Certification Testing information will also be covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"warning has-texan-white-color has-text-color has-background\" style=\"background-color:#bf3d25\">EPS Staff speak to Elementary students participating in a Yearlong Residency in Block 2 courses concerning the residency application. See the certification testing pages for Certification Testing meeting information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">All Campuses<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The meetings will be held virtually using Zoom. Links to the meetings will be sent out to Tarleton email address via the EAB System. Teacher Education Program candidates must get in the habit of checking their Tarleton email account so important announcements are not missed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group white-links has-white-color has-text-color has-background is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\" style=\"background-color:#424242\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-white-color has-text-color\">Step 4: Apply for Clinical Teaching<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSeR2HaWyy-P66q8um9L_aH9RDNdSs56C1YGJxKionuxVBBt0A\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Clinical Teaching Application<\/a>\u00a0is due\u00a0<strong>one year prior<\/strong>\u00a0to the semester in which the clinical teaching will be done. A background\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/eps\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/225\/2022\/08\/criminal-history-20.pdf\">consent<\/a>\u00a0must be submitted as well which is included in the application.\u00a0<em>Please note: you must select school districts within a 60 mile radius of the Tarleton campus where you attend classes.<\/em>\u00a0The following dates are the final deadlines to apply:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Spring:<\/strong>\u00a0February 13th<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fall:<\/strong>\u00a0September 30th <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>No late applications will be accepted.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Apply to Clinical Teaching You must meet all the following prerequisites to apply to clinical teaching.
