Apply for Admission

The application for the Doctor of Education Ed.D. program in Educational Leadership comprises several items:

Official Transcripts

Applicants must provide official transcripts for all higher education coursework, including the transcript for your Master's Degree from an accredited institution. You must have completed a minimum of 18 hours of coursework in administration, management, or leadership or have equivalent experiences. Official copies of the transcripts can be emailed to grad-docs@tarleton.edu or mailed to:

Reference Forms

To apply for admission, you must provide a minimum of four reference forms using either the printable PDF or electronic reference form below. At least two of the letters should be written by individuals who hold doctoral degrees. If your reference chooses to use the printable form, it can be emailed to grad-docs@tarleton.edu or mailed to:

GRE Scores

Mail or drop off a copy of your GRE Scores. Electronic score records will be accepted directly from ETS.

Scores must be no older than 5 years at the time of application.

Electronic Portfolio

Email an electronic portfolio containing the following items (3) to tsu_edd_app@tarleton.edu in a single PDF file.

  • Letter of Introduction (1 page maximum)
  • Detailed resume or curriculum vita
  • Statement of purpose in pursuing this doctoral degree. Describe how your previous experiences and future aspirations factor into your purpose. (600 words or fewer)
