Rolling Admissions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Tarleton State University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program operates on a rolling admissions basis, allowing applications to be reviewed and considered as they are received. However, applicants are strongly encouraged to apply by the priority deadline of October 1, to receive first consideration for admission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications submitted by the priority deadline will be reviewed first, with early interview invitations and admission decisions granted to the most competitive candidates. After October 1, applications will continue to be reviewed on a space-available basis until the cohort is full.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applying early ensures timely processing, priority consideration for available seats, and the best opportunity to secure a spot in the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FINAL application deadline: May 1, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guaranteed interviews are provided to Texas A&M System alumni <\/strong>who apply by the priority deadline, have a minimum 3.2 GPA, and meet all other requirements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interviews and Acceptance<\/h3><\/div>

All PTCAS verified candidates will be considered for an interview based on the established criteria of the Admissions Committee and alignment with the Tarleton Mission. If an applicant is found to meet the standards, an invitation may be extended to interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tarleton will implement holistic application strategies. This process takes into consideration the applicant\u2019s experiences, attributes and academic metrics as well as the value the applicant would contribute to the program and ultimately to the profession. The Admissions Committee will consider the \u201cwhole\u201d applicant rather than focusing on just one factor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interviews will be on campus starting in October of 2025. Candidates who are invited to interview will be contacted via phone or email. Early application may increase the chances of an interview invitation due to the rolling admissions process. If a candidate declines or fails to appear for a scheduled interview their admission will be declined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DPT Admissions Committee and faculty will accept students into the program based on a holistic evaluation of their application, supporting documents, and interview. All applicants will be notified by email and\/or mail regarding final selection decisions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Offers of Admission<\/h3><\/div>

All offers of admission are conditional until such time as the applicant ensures they meet the Technical Standards for Admissions and Enrollment established by Tarleton State. A student must also provide proof of health insurance and immunization requirements, undergo a criminal background check, and complete a drug and alcohol screen to meet the requirements as verified by Tarleton State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seat Deposit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A non-refundable $600 seat deposit is required upon acceptance of an admission offer.\u00a0 Deposits will be applied to program fees. Your seat will not be reserved until the seat fee is paid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Missing your deposit deadline will forfeit your seat in the incoming class. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Health Insurance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Tarleton State University requires all DPT students to hold health insurance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the Texas A&M System, Tarleton State provides the option for students to obtain student health insurance as part of their semester services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
