Social Media Strategy

Tarleton State University’s Master of Science (M.S.) in Management degree with a concentration in Social Media Strategy blends communication and digital marketing strategies to give students the skills needed to develop an organization’s brand positioning. The program focuses on teaching students to confidently navigate the ever-evolving world of social media and lead its impact on organizational profitability and public perception.

Interdisciplinary Curriculum

The Social Media Strategy degree program refines students’ ability to strategize and execute on data-driven and public relations-focused social media marketing endeavors. Students learn how to build and measure an external communication strategy that supports the organization’s brand mission and position, drives revenue, and engages and builds trust with prospective and current audiences. 

The coursework also stresses a refined knowledge of human behavior and communication needs and methodologies. Accordingly, the degree is well-suited for students with backgrounds in communications, marketing, public relations, and language arts.

Taken entirely online, the courses provide much-needed flexibility for busy working professionals. 

Many courses are available in either 8-week or 16-week formats, allowing for a timely completion of the program in as little as 12 months.
