Mechanical Engineering, B.S.

The Mechanical Engineering program offered by the School of Engineering at Tarleton State University evolved from the Engineering Physics degree and was approved in January 2017. The includes a breadth of Mechanical Engineering topics such as: Mechanical System Design, Thermal-fluid System Design, Electromechanical System Design Control and Automation Design. Graduates of the Mechanical Engineering program will possess in-depth knowledge, skills and experiences to design innovative solutions, use modern analytical tools and techniques, communicate professionally and work in a team environment.

Music, B.M.

Tarleton State University offers a Bachelor of Music degree in Music that is designed for students who want an extensive liberal arts experience with an option to double major in both music and another subject. A teacher certification option is available in the program to teach at the secondary level.

Nursing, B.S.N

The B.S.N. program is a 120 credit hour program that offers a traditional program of study for those students seeking to become a registered nurse (RN). Alternate entry options to achieve the BSN are available for licensed vocational nurses (LVN) and registered nurses with an associate degree or diploma. The traditional program of study is available on the Stephenville campus, the RN to BSN entry is available in Fort Worth, and the LVN to BSN entry is available in Waco and Stephenville.

Physics, B.S.

The Bachelor of Science degree in Physics at Tarleton State University is one of the best-equipped, strongest, and most active physics program of any undergraduate institution in the nation. A teacher certification option is available in the program to teach at the secondary level.

The Bachelor of Art in Political Science is a 120 credit hour program that consists of three concentration areas which are American Politics, Comparative Politics/International Relations, Legal Studies and teacher certification at the secondary level. The Bachelor of Arts and Applied Sciences in Public Administration equips students with knowledge and skills that cover a wide range of topics and disciplines related to the public sector. Students acquire knowledge about government bodies and agencies, including municipal, state and federal operations in areas such as intergovernmental relations, human resource management, public policy and budgeting and finance.

Our department offers programs of study leading to the Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with All Level Certification. Both degrees seek to give students high proficiency levels in the language, as well as an understanding of the Hispanic culture and analytical skills achieved through the study of Hispanic literature. A teacher certification option is available in the program to teach at the secondary level.
