Overview
The Bachelor of Science in General Studies is a program designed for students who seek a flexible degree program and do not desire or may not meet prerequisites of a highly structured traditional degree program. This program also intends to permit students to plan, with advisement, an individualized program with access to a wide range of academic disciplines and fields of professional study. This program is not designed to provide students with the depth of content within a concentration to typically prepare the students for advanced studies with an academic discipline related to this concentration.
Designed With You in Mind
The B.S. in General Studies is designed in such a way to allow you to create an individualized degree program based on any existing coursework. Students may choose one of two options for an area of concentration, either a combination of 18 hours in a primary concentration and 9 hours in a secondary concentration or a combination of 9 hours in 3 separate concentrations. This program also allows students with some prior college coursework to complete their studies.
