Applied Engineering Program

The Construction Science & Management program incorporates hands-on learning with faculty members who have industry experience. In addition:

  • 60% of the program is spent in lab courses that are focused on project-based learning,
  • Every student will complete a Capstone project defined by local construction companies, and
  • Internship and summer employment opportunities are available for students to gain more experience.

Facilities and Features

Applied Sciences Building

New Applied Sciences Building

The new Applied Sciences Building will house both classrooms and labs for the Engineering and Engineering Technology programs. In addition, there will be select labs for the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. The building is projected to open in Fall 2018.

Cutting-Edge Design Tools

Cutting-Edge Design Tools

Students will learn to use cutting-edge tools such as Autodesk Revit, which will allow them to complete Building Information Modeling (BIM). BIM is a process involving the generation and management of digital data through physical and functional characteristics, as well as other construction projects.

Construction Science

Hands-on Program

From computer-aided design all the way to design and installation of mechanical/electrical systems in a building, our program provide a variety of hands-on experiences. Our Construction Program not only gives students the credentials for their career endeavors, but will provide a set of skills and knowledge applicable to real-world situations.
