CanSat International Rocket Competition

June 14 – 16, 2019

The CanSat competition is a design-build-fly competition that provides teams with opportunities to experience the design life-cycle of an aerospace system. The competition includes all phases of the aerospace program including preliminary design review, flight, and post mission review. Real world aspects including telemetry requirements, communications, and autonomous operations are included as part of the competition. Each team is scored on design, review presentations and demonstration flights.

The name “CanSat” is derived from the fact that payloads are required to fit inside the volume of a typical soda can (66mm diameter and 115mm height) and have a mass below 350g.

Teams from around the world will be on the Tarleton State University campus competing in this annual competition.
