Five students were added to the ranks of LEX for&nbsp;legal&nbsp;studies majors, which has been active since 2023, while seven students became charter members of the established Pi Sigma Alpha chapter for&nbsp;political&nbsp;science majors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The students inducted into the Lambda Epsilon Chi Society were&nbsp;Brian (David) Parsons, Emma Borchardt, James Wright,&nbsp;Jayclyn&nbsp;Rogers, Melissa Ybarra, and Raylee Williams. The students inducted into the Pi Sigma Alpha Society were Madilyn Munn, Leylani Villa-Ramos, Ashton Maitlen, Jodi Clarmont, Hailey Hensley, Maya Kelly, and Anna Doyel.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis achievement underscores our students\u2019 dedication to academic excellence and serves as an inspiration to their peers.\u201d&nbsp;noted Department Head Dr. Amy O\u2019Dell.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pi Sigma Alpha is a national political science honor society that&nbsp;promotes&nbsp;scholarship&nbsp;and&nbsp;interests&nbsp;in politics,&nbsp;government&nbsp;and democracy. With chapters on&nbsp;nearly 850&nbsp;campuses and more than&nbsp;300,000 members&nbsp;inducted nationwide, the organization supports both academic and extracurricular engagement while fostering dialogue and civic involvement. Its members have gone on to become leaders in government,&nbsp;law&nbsp;and public service at the local,&nbsp;state&nbsp;and national levels.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LEX&nbsp;is the national honor society for paralegal and legal studies, recognizing students who&nbsp;demonstrate&nbsp;excellence in&nbsp;education&nbsp;and a strong commitment to the ethical and professional standards of the legal field. With chapters across the United States, LEX has honored thousands of students and continues to uphold a legacy of academic distinction.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These honor societies hold significant value for Tarleton State students,&nbsp;representing&nbsp;academic excellence,&nbsp;leadership&nbsp;and dedication to their fields.
