ABR Conference: November 9, 2020

Deadline for submissions: October 15, 2020

To submit a paper for the conference:

1. Click on the 'Submit Paper' link above to review the submission guidelines and create an account.

2. Once you are logged into your Author account, click on the New Conference link on the right side of menu.

3. Under Step 1 of the submission process select Conference for the Advance in Business Research Journal Section and complete the remaining steps.

Advances in Business Research Conference

Advances in Business Research (ABR) Conference will be held Virtually Monday, November 9, 2020. The submission deadline is October 15, 2020. The conference is sponsored by the College of Business, Tarleton State University. Additionally, we will provide awards in two categories: (a) to the best manuscript award, and (b) the best student manuscript award. Both awards are important as they recognize scholarship achievements in two distinct categories of which separates our conference from others.

At the ABR Conference, the balance between research competition and collegiality are managed in a spirit of development, and establishment of lasting professional relationships for professors, students, and business practitioners. We want everyone to enjoy themselves and make this conference one that they attend on a yearly basis.

  • Best Empirical Entrepreneurship Paper- $500
  • Best Theoretical Entrepreneurship Paper- $500

Gradcapfinder has graciously offered 12 sessions ($2,400 value) in professional development at no cost to the winner of the Best Student Award. The in consultation will focus on completing data, creating a professional persona, and crafting the language for a final article, thesis, or dissertation.

Types of Submission

  • Research Papers: Completed research papers in any of the topic areas listed above.

  • Abstracts: Abstracts of completed or proposed research in any of the topic areas listed above or related areas. The abstract for proposed research should include the research objectives, proposed methodology, and a discussion of expected outcomes.

  • Student Papers: Research done by students in any of the topic areas listed above or related areas.

  • Case Studies: Case studies in any of the topic areas listed above or related areas.

  • Work-in-Progress or Proposals for Future Research: Incomplete research or ideas for future research in order to generate discussion and feedback in any of the topic areas listed above or related areas. Also, reports related to innovative instruction techniques or research related to any of the topic areas listed above.

  • Publications: Advances in Business Research Conference makes available two publication outlets. Presenters may submit their manuscripts for inclusion in Advances in Business Research Proceedings. Also, presenters may submit their manuscripts for review and possible inclusion in Advances in Business Research Journal (listed in Cabell’s Publishing).

  • Please visit the ABR website. Details regarding publication opportunities will be discussed in a session during the Conference.
