On January 27-28, 2024, the first-ever Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Youth Escaramuza and Charro Cala competition was held. On the 27th, Freshman and Pre-Veterinary Medicine major Liliana Perez’s team won the Youth Escaramuza Competition (18 & under). Each member of her team received a $2,000 scholarship! The following day, she and her horse Machete competed in the Texas Invitational\u00a0Escaramuza\u00a0Competition winning 3rd\u00a0place and a $1,500 prize (for the team). \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senior Animal Science & Pre-Vet major Kitzia Guevara competed in the Invitational Competition on her horse Piporro.
