Consultation should be taken with a Faculty Adviser to guarantee the best courses for a student to take, and which degree track to follow. Note that both the Environmental Sciences and Environmental Social-Policy Tracks have the option to pursue a thesis or non-thesis path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Environmental Science Concentration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The standard-bearer of environmental degrees, the Environmental Science concentration emphasizes the importance of training traditional scientists prepared for the demands of industry and society. Our program allows students to work with a faculty adviser in the area of their choice, with one-on-one tutelage conducting a thesis project. Students often engage in volunteer and internship experiences, and upon graduation, go on to work in one of the many local, regional, or government environmental organizations.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Social Policy Concentration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With ever-increasing complexity of environmental law and management practices, the social policy track offers students the ability to familiarize themselves with this system.
