The Texan Motor Pool Program provides fleet vehicles to meet university business needs. Our mission is to provide Tarleton with transportation services for convenient and efficient use of motor vehicle resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Policy Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Requests<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rental requests can be requested through the link at the bottom of this page. Once the request has been received, the motor pool department will respond with an email confirmation and reservation information. If the renter does not receive a confirmation email, then the vehicle has not been reserved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All renters must be an employee and have a valid drivers license on file with the motor pool department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daily Rates<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Car: $25.00<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Small SUV: $45.00<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Large SUV: $70.00<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Passenger Van: $75.00<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dually Pickup Truck: $75.00<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fuel<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Each department is responsible for paying for the fuel using their department travel card through Concur. If a renter does not have a travel card, please contact Business Services for further assistance. Vehicles must be returned with a full tank of gas. Failure to do so with result in a $50 charge plus the cost of refilling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Billing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Every Monday, a list of all rentals from the previous week will be sent to Accounting for department transfer of funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tolls<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Each department will be responsible for any tolls incurred during their rental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cancellations & Late Fees<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Renter must notify the motor pool program of cancellations prior to 24 hours of the reservation or a $50 cancellation fee will be charged to the department. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the vehicle is not returned by the time indicated on the Rental Request Form, the department will be charged a $50 late fee. An additional $50 will be charged for each day the vehicle is not returned, plus the daily rental rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
