Faculty Scholarship Cohort

Purpose: To better understand and improve scholarship within your discipline by conducting an evidence-based research study and developing a long-term scholarship agenda.

Activity Required: Early-career faculty will develop a discipline-specific research question, design a study, collect data, analyze data, prepare the data for manuscript submission, and present the study. Participants will be required to attend all trainings and will develop a long-term scholarship agenda and an agenda for the management of research activities.

Reporting Requirement: Participants will develop and conduct a research study that results in a scholarly product suitable for presentation (at Tarleton and a state or national conference) and publication. Participants will submit a long-term research agenda.

Who Should Apply: Early-career faculty interested in developing and improving their discipline-specific scholarship agendas in preparation for exceeding tenure and promotion requirements and advancing the institution’s scholarship profile, in line with the strategic plan.

Eligibility: Early-career (non-tenured), full-time, tenure-track faculty are eligible to apply for the program. Applicants must be prepared and committed to participate in all related meetings and activities and to complete the expected deliverable schedule.
