The New Faculty Academy is designed to provide experienced and first-time faculty new to Tarleton:
- an introduction to traditions, expectations, values, and resources for faculty and students;
- strategies for enhancing and documenting teaching, scholarship, and service; and
- ongoing opportunities to ask questions and cultivate collegial relationships among faculty and staff from across campus.
During the Academy, guest speakers from various offices and departments will provide helpful and useful information regarding employment at Tarleton.
2022-23 Academy
Following the Kick-off on August 12th, the New Faculty Academy will meet monthly on the Fridays listed below. Meetings will be from 10:00am – noon in the Library Multi-Purpose Room.

- October 14th
- November 18th
- January 27th
- February 24th
- March 31st
- April 28th
- May 5th
These dates have also been added to the University Calendar.
2023-24 Academy
The 2023-24 New Faculty Academy Kick-off will take place in August 2023.
