Educational Excellence Week

The Center for Educational Excellence is hosting the inaugural Educational Excellence Week virtually from April 19 through April 23, 2021.

Students, faculty, and staff can choose to present in the following areas:

  • Teaching Excellence
  • Research and Creative Activities
  • Applied and Experiential Learning (includes Study Abroad/Away)
  • Community Engagement and Service Learning

This virtual event, hosted in Canvas, will contain both synchronous and asynchronous activities.

Submit Your Work

You may submit up to one presentation in each of the submission categories by submitting a new form for each category you wish to present in.

Please note:

  • We highly recommend that you review the "Prepare to Submit" section of this page before accessing the submission form.
  • Many submission categories and presentation types require the presentation content (poster, presentation video, or preview video) to be included at the time of submission.
  • Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. on March 22, 2021. Authors will be notified of the schedule approximately 2 weeks prior to the event.

Volunteer to Judge for Research and Creative Activities

Are you a faculty member interested in judging student research projects? Please indicate your interested by filling out our short volunteer form so you can be invited to judge research in your discipline. Time slots will be shared at least two weeks prior to the event so you can make a final decision about availability.

Serving as a judge can be logged in Digital Measures as "Service to the University" and three judges will be randomly selected to receive a prize.

Prepare to Submit

The information in this section will help you prepare to complete the submission form with no surprises. Please note that some submission categories require items such as videos or posters to be completed before submission.

All submission categories require the following information:

  • All author names (in order)
  • All author email addresses (same order)
  • Faculty mentor name (for student submissions)
  • Short biographies for each author (two-sentences each)
  • Photo of each author for promotions (either a link to an image/album or emailed to
  • Presentation title
