Academic Leadership Development

Academic Leadership Development is a brand new sector in the Center for Educational Excellence that will support new and emerging academic leaders by:

  • serving as a direct line of support to new Department Heads and Assistant Department Heads
  • serving as a liaison for leaders of various University entities
  • assisting in understanding University programs
  • building a network of resources
  • connecting leaders to build communal support
  • providing opportunities for internal and external leadership training
  • facilitating a cohort of Leadership Fellows

Training opportunities taking place in Spring 2021 include:

  • Academic Chairpersons Conference (February 3rd - 5th)
  • Hiring Adjuncts
  • Faculty Self-Evaluations
  • Faculty Growth Plans
  • Using Qualtrics for Departmental Assessment
