Asset Names

Asset Names are the file names or folder directory names used when publishing your content to your website. As a content management system (CMS), Cascade has some special types, like PagesExternal Links, and Blocks, that are not like normal files.

For example, Pages do not have file extensions (e.g. .html, .htm, .pdf, .xml), however, when Cascade publishes them, they turn into whatever file type (or Output) they were built. Most of our Pages are built to publish with the .html file extension.

Meanwhile, External Links and Blocks don't publish whatsoever to the website. They are for internal use, typically to assist web maintainers when reusing the same link or the same content.
