Page Templates and Content Blocks

In the old template, many page templates were created for basic use. However, as new content modules specialized pages, the old templates slowly became modular. That is, it may have a primary template, but additional specialized content blocks might be used to lay out specific content. Most of these content module blocks are utilized in homepages/index pages and located in _homepage or _index folders for editing.

Page Templates

Many page templates were created for the old template. These are the most commonly used:

  • 1 Column: First Row has 1 column
  • 2 Column: First Row has 2 column
  • 1x1: First Row has 1 column, Second Row has 1 column
  • 1x2: First Row has 1 column, Second Row has 2 columns
  • 1x3: First Row has 1 column, Second Row has 3 columns
  • 1x4: First Row has 1 column, Second Row has 4 columns
  • 2x2: First Row has 2 columns, Second Row has 2 columns
  • Employee Listing: Basic contact information for employees, including a thumbnail portrait image
  • Faculty Listing: Contact information for a typical faculty member, including a thumbnail portrait image
  • FAQs with Categories: Frequently Asked Questions that need to be organized in categories
  • FAQs: Frequently Asked Questions are specific to a subject
  • Ordered Content List: Blocks of content with a focus on numerical importance
  • Unordered Content List: Blocks of content with options for images, colored boxes, and a default main content box

Content Module Blocks

These content module blocks are typically placed on modular pages or appended to more basic page templates like the ones mentioned above:

  • Banner Slideshow: Basic banner slideshow with just randomly rotating images as slides
  • Banner with Captions Slideshow: Slideshow with captions positioned in customized locations over each image, rotating out in order
  • Banner with Text Slideshow: Slideshow with captions positioned at the bottom over each image, rotating out in order
  • Basic Header + Content Module: Very generic header and content block
  • Employee Listing: Basic contact information for employees, including a thumbnail portrait image
  • Faculty Listing: Contact information for a typical faculty member, including a thumbnail portrait image
  • Categories + QnA: Frequently Asked Questions that need to be organized in categories
  • Question + Answer: Frequently Asked Questions are specific to a subject
  • Ordered Content List: Blocks of content with a focus on numerical importance
  • Unordered Content List: Blocks of content with options for images, colored boxes, and a default main content box
  • Tabbed Content: Basic content organized by tabs
