Styles in the Old Template
Styles are now called "classes" in link modals and Custom versions of Formats in the WYSIWYG editor. Most of the styles used in the old template do not transition to the responsive template and are therefore discouraged from major use.
File Types
Often times, we include on our pages a little asterisk (*) and a note at the bottom that this particular file is a such-and-such file and you can view it view a certain free downloadable program. In the old template, we've cut down on the verbiage by
- Placing the file name in an unordered list.
- Selecting the list item ("li" in the path).
- Then selecting the Formats dropdown menu and going down to Custom to view styles representing the file type:
- htmldoc - Webpage
- pdfdoc - Adobe Acrobat PDF file
- exceldoc - Microsoft Excel file
- worddoc - Microsoft Word file
- tamuspage - Texas A&M University System page
- swfdoc - Adobe Flash document (page that is strictly a slideshow or video)
- pptdoc - Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation file
Paragraph or Text Styles
These styles are available for your use on the old template, under Formats then Custom, however, they should only be used in moderation. Note that many of these will not be transitioning to the responsive template.
