Mission Statement

The mission of Career Services is to empower students and alumni to synthesize, articulate, and leverage their academic and co-curricular knowledge to be competitive. We help students think globally and long-term through career and personal development. We build relationships with employers to provide opportunities for student/alumni success and meet their industry’s staffing demands.

The vision of the Career Services Center is to integrate with academics and partner with industry leaders to help students/alumni develop both professionally and personally. Graduates will leave polished, competent, competitive and capable of navigating an ever-evolving world.

Tarleton State University's Career Services Center, part of the Division of Academic Affairs, is located in Room 218 of the Thompson Student Center. Career Services includes a library with on-line resources, books and magazines for job searches, as well as references and listings of full-time, part-time, on-campus and internship positions

Career Readiness Handbook

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and Texas Workforce Commission developed the Career Readiness Handbook to guide students to prepare for a career while in college. This handbook is a reference for students as they complete their studies and move along their career paths.
