Curriculum items are managed through the CourseLeaf Curriculum Inventory Management (CIM) system. The curriculum system is accessed online and utilizes an automated workflow for approval. All curriculum changes must be completed per the curriculum cycle and timeline. This process does not include any necessary external approvals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The CIM system is separated into four categories: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Each item is initiated within an academic department and is routed through the appropriate curriculum committees for approval. Items for consideration are routed through the academic departments, colleges, administration, necessary sub-committees (e.g. Writing Intensive, General Education, Educator Preparation), University Curriculum Committee (if undergraduate), Graduate Council (if graduate), and the Academic Council, as appropriate to the item. Items are considered at each step of workflow and may be rejected, edited, or approved as necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The curriculum timeline for the current year is posted on the Curriculum and Catalog<\/a> page and includes the following documents for the current academic year:<\/p>\n\n\n\n For items to be considered by the Academic Curriculum Review Committee (ACRC), they must be\u00a0approved by their College Curriculum Committee by the last Wednesday of the month<\/mark><\/strong>. Departments and colleges should set their meeting schedules accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tarleton State University follows a two-year curriculum cycle, meaning we alternate undergraduate and graduate curriculum updates every other year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
