The authorized user feature allows a family member or employer, etc. to receive notifications when a statement is available, make payments, view account activity, and print an On Demand statement. Becoming an authorized user is separate from the Parent Portal and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act access. An authorized user does not have access to a student\u2019s grades or other academic records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tips to help an authorized user login:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Authorized user passwords expire after 90 days and must be changed. When the password expires, the authorized user will be directed to the update password page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Temporary passwords expire after 24 hours. If the authorized user is trying to use a password that was sent more than 24 hours ago, they will need to request a new temporary password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. If copying\/pasting a password, the authorized user needs to make sure just the password is being copied and not additional spaces before or after. If repeated failures occur, it may be easier to type the password instead of copying\/pasting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Authorized user accounts will lock for 20 minutes after five (5) bad attempts. The authorized user will need to wait 20 minutes before they attempt to use the \u201cForgot Password\u201d again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Add an Authorized User<\/h2><\/div>

The student must add an authorized user within Texan Bill Pay. Students can add more than one authorized user and access can be granted or removed by the student at any time. An authorized user must have an email address. The new authorized user will receive email notifications containing their username, temporary password, and login information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Access Texan Bill Pay through DuckTrax<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Go to \u201cAuthorized Users\u201d and \u201cAdd Authorized User\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. A notification will be sent to the entered authorized user\u2019s email<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Follow steps to activate the authorized user\u2019s account<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Access to Texan Bill Pay:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Select Authorized User<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Log-in with your authorized user e-mail address and password that was e-mailed to you upon enrollment by your student.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Please note:<\/strong> For authorized users logging into the system for the first time or resetting their password, please copy\/paste the temporary password you received via email.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

      In our ongoing efforts to combat fraud, maintain a high level of security, and keep your personal information secure, beginning Monday, November 4, 2024, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be required for authorized users to access Texan Bill Pay. Multi-Factor Authentication protects applications by using a second source of validation before granting access to users and is one of the most effective ways to ensure the person logging in to the student\u2019s account is who they say they are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Once MFA is enabled, authorized users will create their MFA profile at their next login and enter a one-time code that they receive via email, SMS, or a mobile app each time they log in to Texan Bill Pay. For more information on how to set up your MFA, please use the link below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
