WHAT IS FAFSA?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

FAFSA stands for Free Application for Student Aid. Your FAFSA determines how much financial aid you are eligible for! FAFSA should be done each school year!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

IS THE FAFSA SAFE?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, FAFSA IS SAFE! How do we know it\u2019s safe? FAFSA uses a \u201c.gov\u201d website. This tells us that FAFSA is a credible source and we don\u2019t have to worry about whether it\u2019s safe to give the site our information.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

WHY SHOULD I SUBMIT MY FAFSA?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To be considered for federal loans, grants, and work-study – you must submit your FAFSA application. Submitting your FAFSA can get you more scholarships!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

WHEN SHOULD I SUBMIT MY FAFSA?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! FAFSA applications opens this year in December, BUT don\u2019t procrastinate! FAFSA is distributed on a first-come first-serve basis so it\u2019s best to submit as soon as you can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT DO TARLETON STUDENTS THINK?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The word FAFSA was thrown at me when I was a junior in high school. When it came to applying for aid my senior year, I didn’t even know what I was doing and it was very confusing for me. Now I’m a junior in college who knows how to do it just like a daily skill. The first time I did it by myself, it took me almost an hour but now that time is cut in half.” – Ashley Anglin<\/p>\n\n\n\n
