Paradigm College Ministry<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\nJoining Paradigm College Ministry was the first thing I did after getting settled at Tarleton. I attended the Freshman Worship Night at the beginning of the school year and immediately knew it was the place for me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I was involved in a freshman Challenge Group my entire freshman year. This is where I met my best friend, Alexis, who would eventually become my roommate and #1 supporter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\nThis past year I had the opportunity to serve within the ministry as a Challenge leader for a co-ed upperclassman group. This group brought me some of my closest friendships and together we learned about the Bible while engaging in fellowship with each other every week.

<\/div>\n\n\n\nThis upcoming school year I look forward to serving as a greeter at First Baptist Church. I would not have this opportunity if it weren\u2019t for my involvement in Paradigm!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\nStudent Government Association<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\nMy involvement in Student Government began my freshman year when I joined the Freshman Representative Council (FRC). FRC is the freshman branch of the Student Government Association. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
FRC members are tasked with the execution of Purple Pancakes, Sixth Grade Day Away, and assisting with other projects and activities as needed. FRC gave me the opportunity to get involved in the behind the scenes action at Tarleton while also working alongside like-minded people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I just wrapped up serving as the Vice President of Programming for SGA. This position gave me the opportunity to plan Tarleton Homecoming events such as Yell Contest, Purple Pancakes, Beating of the Drum, and organizing all Mr. and Ms. TSU Court appearances. I worked on an executive team made up of leaders who would eventually become the friends I study with and the people I call when I need advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After countless hours of campaigning and preparing, I was elected into the office of Student Body President. <\/em><\/strong>I have looked up to the past two presidents and considered them role models and examples of where I eventually wanted to find myself within the organization. SGA is an organization that exists to serve the student body and I look forward to doing just that.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\nAlpha Gamma Delta\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\nJoining a sorority was never on my agenda before coming to college. I didn\u2019t understand how big of a role it could play in building meaningful relationships with so many amazing girls!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This chapter has always made me feel welcomed and gave me a special place to call home. Alpha Gam also brought me one of my roommates, Alea! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is not hard to get involved at Tarleton. My involvement here is something I never pictured would bring me so much joy and so many memories. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
My biggest piece of advice to anyone who is considering joining any organization on or off campus, DO IT!
