Katherine Belding, Transfer Student

Katherine \u201cKatie\u201d Belding did not transfer to Tarleton State and simply blend into the mix. Once here, she fully engulfed herself in the culture, fostering lifelong friendships and leaving her mark on campus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally from Joshua, Texas, Belding knew that bleeding purple was the only true way to go. She officially joined the Tarleton State Texan family in Spring 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What degree program are you pursuing? What is your anticipated graduation year? <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u200b\u200bI am a nursing major with a biology minor expected to graduate in 2027. I recently got my class ring!!\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since transferring, what has been your greatest accomplishment? How have you gotten involved on campus? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c<\/strong>Since transferring, I have gotten involved on campus by joining Tarleton State’s The Sound & The Fury Marching Band (flute), I am a member of the Honors College and a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. I also work on campus as a Cybersecurity Analyst in the Tarleton Technology Department where I work alongside the best group of people!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do you hope\/plan to do post-grad? <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAfter graduation, I plan to take and pass the NCLEX to work as a nurse and see where that takes me. I also want to travel a lot and go to graduate school to work towards becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why did you choose to attend Tarleton State University? <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI chose to transfer to Tarleton State because of its great location, great people, opportunities to join on campus organizations, and because of its focus on rural medical care. I want to be a part of the change that Tarleton State is bringing to Texas medical care!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
