The One Where Megan Finds Her Home <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paving a way for yourself in college can pose a few challenges whether you\u2019re a \u201clegacy student\u201d or a first generation Texan looking to take control of your future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Tarleton State alumna, Megan Wooster, getting involved on and off campus was the ultimate key to success! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally from a small town north of Austin, Texas, Wooster quickly made Tarleton State her new home while also making quite the impact on campus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI chose Tarleton because I loved the small town and it felt like my home away from home,\u201d Wooster said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The One Where Megan Gets Crafty <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 2019, Megan founded her own handmade craft business called Meg\u2019s Crafts. She focused on creating handmade car freshies, candles, custom items and much more! A few of her bestsellers included graduation regalia as well as Duck Camp memorabilia for Tarleton Transition Mentors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Business boomed for three years before Wooster underwent nerve surgery, enabling her from continuing her career in crafts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The One Where Megan Gets Involved<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 2020, Megan became heavily involved in the Phi Mu Panhellenic Council where she later served as Ritual Chair. She also served prospective students by becoming a Duck Camp TTM (Tarleton Transition Mentor). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBeing a TTM had the greatest impact on my life. Joining a big community and learning how to lead a team prepared me for life post-grad. I loved getting the chance to help freshmen navigate their way through the transition while also being their first line of support,\u201d Wooster shared.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Her giving heart did not stop there. Wooster joined the Tarleton RoundUp initiative in 2021 where she helped serve and beautify the Stephenville community with fellow Texans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Megan quickly found that being involved in a little bit of everything was the best way to make the most out of her time on campus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The One Where Megan Graduates <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After about 2.5 years on campus, Megan graduated with her Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Management in December 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Megan knew that the best way to set herself up for greatness post-grad was by completing an internship. Shortly before completing her degree, Wooster applied for and began an internship at Amazon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI loved it {the internship} so much that I continued working with Amazon after graduation! Tarleton State was a vital part of my success. I truly love the people I get to work with,\u201d Wooster said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since graduating, Megan has been able to not only grow into her career but she has also been able to explore the world by taking solo and group trips. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Megan did not simply attend Tarleton State, she made it her home. Between making forever friends, getting involved on campus and connecting with students one craft at a time, it was impossible for Wooster to not feel at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
