The holidays are here, and we know you\u2019re ready for some well-deserved rest and fun with friends and family. But while you\u2019re kicking back, don\u2019t forget\u2014this is the perfect time to tackle some important steps for your college journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let us “break down” a few things to check off your list before heading back to school:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Apply to Tarleton<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you haven\u2019t applied yet, now\u2019s the time! Submitting your application is the first step to becoming a Texan! Don\u2019t let the break end without taking this key step toward your future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Complete the FAFSA<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is open, and early applications get the best shot at available funding. Tarleton\u2019s School Code is 003631\u2014be sure to include it on your application to access grants, loans, and work-study opportunities. Visit studentaid.gov<\/a> for resources or reach out to Tarleton\u2019s Financial Aid Office for guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Apply for Scholarships<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Once you\u2019ve received notification of admission, then you should complete your General Scholarship Application<\/a>. Students submitting SAT\/ACT scores increase their scholarship opportunities. This 1 application considers students for over $15 million in scholarships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Register for Texan Orientation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Orientation is your first official step as a future Texan. It\u2019s where you\u2019ll register for classes, connect with other #TarletonBound students, and prepare for life as part of the Tarleton family. Spots fill up fast, so secure your place today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Reminder, students will not receive their housing assignment until they’ve registered for orientation!*<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
