Camps and Clinics

Tarleton provides a number of clinics and festivals throughout the year for high school and middle school students and their directors.


All-Region Clinic

This clinic provides audition preparation and performance assistance for high school students auditioning for both ATSSB and TMEA Region/Area/State Bands. Clinics will be provided for all band instruments.

Brass Day

Brass Day gives high school and college students the opportunity to collaborate in a concentrated environment that allows for advanced study on trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, or tuba. Master classes and other creative environments assist in a positive experience for all brass musicians. This event is held concurrently with Tarleton Percussion Day.

Percussion Day

Tarleton Percussion Day features percussion clinics and performances, master classes, regional and all-state clinics, and a finale with the featured guest artist. This event is held concurrently with Tarleton Brass Day.

Invitational Band Festival

Since 2011, the Invitational Band Festival has brought Texas high school and middle school bands to Tarleton for a day of performance, interaction, and collaboration. The event offers an opportunity to work with a guest clinician, who works directly with each band on stage after their performance. In addition to the guest clinician, a panel of adjudicators will offer pre-festival audio and written comments in preparation for their UIL Concert and Sight Reading Festivals.

Jazz Festival

The Tarleton Jazz Festival has been held on the Tarleton campus since 1962. The event is designed for high school and junior high groups to perform for and work with outstanding jazz educators and guest artists.
