Jennifer Rodriguez

Jennifer Rodriguez is Instructor of flute at Tarleton State University and holds the third flute/piccolo position with the Richardson Symphony Orchestra. Her education includes the Bachelor of Music (2008) and Master of Music (2010) degrees from the University of Texas at El Paso and is currently pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of North Texas. Master class coachings include those with Federica Lotti, professor at the Conservatory of Music Benedetto Marcelloin Venice, Italy and Nathalie Joachim of Flutronix.  Major teachers include Dr. Melissa Colgin-Abeln and Dr. Mary Karen Clardy.

Ms. Rodriguez has held positions with the Universidad Autonoma de Cuidad Juarez Orquestra Sinfonica, the El Paso Symphony Orchestra, the El Paso Opera Orchestra, and the Las Cruces Symphony Orchestra at NMSU. She can be heard as a featured soloist with the University of Texas at El Paso Wind Symphony in recordings of the music of David Holsinger, Roger Cichy, Julie Giroux, and Frank Ticheli as distributed by Mark Custom Records.
As an educator, Ms. Rodriguez has held teaching positions with Clint Independent School district in El Paso, TX and was awarded a Teaching Fellowship at the University of North Texas. She is also a founding member of the El Paso Flute Club, an organization dedicated to promoting the music excellence of the El Paso flute community and focuses on elementary, middle school, and high school educational outreach. Current private studio work includes students from Northwest ISD and Coppell ISD.
