First year and transfer students are\u00a0<strong>required<\/strong>\u00a0to be advised before registering for their first semester of classes at Tarleton. Most students are required to be advised for each semester, which can happen through drop-in events, appointments, or email.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/advising\/holds\/\">Learn more about advising holds and how to resolve them.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We encourage you to make an appointment if you are unsure of what you should\/can register for. Login with your UID and password (same as myGateway). The Office of Academic Advising is in a unique position to advise those who have not achieved a minimum 2.0 GPA, and discuss options for improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"warning\">You will be required to see an advisor before registering for classes if you are placed on academic warning or probation. If you are placed on academic suspension, you will need to speak to the dean of your college.
