Per the Texas A&M University System Regulation 11.99.02, Conduct Requirements for Admissions Applications and Transcripts, all applicants will be asked the following questions on an admission application:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have you ever been convicted of a crime or crimes, excluding juvenile adjudications, involving acts of violence or sexual misconduct including, but not limited to: criminal homicide (murder or non-negligent manslaughter); sexual assault (rape, fondling, incest, or statutory rape); robbery; aggravated assault; simple assault; arson; destruction\/damage\/vandalism of property; domestic violence; dating violence; or stalking?<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Are you currently under investigation or subject to pending conduct charges from any postsecondary institution for conduct involving acts of violence or sexual misconduct including, but not limited to: criminal homicide (murder or non-negligent manslaughter); sexual assault (rape, fondling, incest, or statutory rape); robbery; aggravated assault; simple assault; arson; destruction\/damage\/vandalism of property; domestic violence; dating violence; or stalking?<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Have you ever had any substantiated conduct findings against you at any postsecondary institution for conduct involving acts of violence or sexual misconduct including, but not limited to: criminal homicide (murder or non-negligent manslaughter); sexual assault (rape, fondling, incest, or statutory rape); robbery; aggravated assault; simple assault; arson; destruction\/damage\/vandalism of property; domestic violence; dating violence; or stalking?<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Have you ever been suspended or expelled from any postsecondary institution for conduct involving acts of violence or sexual misconduct including, but not limited to: criminal homicide (murder or non-negligent manslaughter); sexual assault (rape, fondling, incest, or statutory rape); robbery; aggravated assault; simple assault; arson; destruction\/damage\/vandalism of property; domestic violence; dating violence; or stalking?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Occupational License Disclosure<\/h3><\/div>

    As a point of information required by Texas HB 1508 and the Texas Occupations Code 58.001, if you are applying for admission to a nursing program that prepares an individual for an initial occupational (nursing) license as defined under Texas Occupations Code 58.001 and\/or if you later decide to change to a program that prepares you for an initial occupational license as defined under Texas Occupations Code 58.001, in accordance with state law, please be advised of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    1. An individual who has been convicted of an offense may be ineligible for issuance of an occupational license upon completion of the educational program;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Each licensing authority that may issue an occupational license to an individual who completes an educational program must establish guidelines which state the reasons a particular crime is considered to relate to a particular license and any other criterion that affects the decisions of the licensing authority.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Local or county licensing authorities may issue additional guidelines related to criminal history. Applicants should contact their respective local or county licensing authority for more details. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. A person may request a criminal history evaluation letter regarding the personal eligibility for a license issued by a licensing authority under Texas Occupations Code 53.102.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Applicants are encouraged to review all applicable eligibility requirements related to the respective occupational license. Questions related to eligibility requirements should be directed to the applicable licensing authority.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
