Simplifying the Application Process for Tarleton Today Students <\/h1>\n\n\n\n

As part of the Tarleton Today program, you\u2019ve already started your journey with Tarleton State. We want to continue that by offering you something a little extra. You\u2019ve got access to a faster, easier path to apply for Tarleton State this fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead of completing the full application, you can use a shortened supplemental application <\/em><\/strong>built just for Tarleton Today students, and your application fee is waived<\/em><\/strong>. All you need to do is submit the form, and we\u2019ll review your eligibility for direct admission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Admission Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Students participating in the Tarleton Today program may earn automatic admission through successful completion of their Tarleton State college coursework.  If students do not meet the Tarleton State hours and GPA, their record will be evaluated using the first-time freshman requirements<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Register for Orientation<\/h3><\/div>
\n

All incoming students are required to attend Texan Orientation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Orientation, you will register for your first semester of classes, get your official Tarleton student ID, and check out your first residence hall. You will have the chance to meet with departments like financial aid, admissions, and housing to take care of your other enrollment steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tarleton State supports a live-on campus requirement of one year for new incoming students (first time in college and freshmen). Students about to graduate or have already graduated from high school or have earned GED and have not yet attended a post-secondary institution for one long semester (i.e., Fall or Spring), are considered first-time in college (FTIC) new students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students who have earned college credits before graduating from high school (AP or Dual Credits) or took classes immediately after graduating from high school (during the summer), are also considered FTIC new students regardless of earned credit hours. FTIC new students are required to reside on-campus their first academic year unless requesting and receiving approval for an Off-Campus Exemption<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are living on campus, you are required to have a meal plan, if you do not select, the meal plan 17 will automatically be chosen and added to your bill.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students may be unable to register for classes until this requirement has been completed. <\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Texas Senate Bill 1107 (now TEC 51.9192) requires all students entering an institution of higher education (public and private) to either receive a vaccination against bacterial meningitis or meet certain criteria for declining such a vaccination before the first day of the semester. Tarleton is partnering with Med+Proctor<\/a> for the submission of bacterial meningitis vaccination records. Please watch the Tarleton Med+Proctor video<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
