The President's Guaranteed Scholarship Program aligns with the 120-year vision of Tarleton’s founder and benefactor to provide a high-quality university education to students who otherwise might not have the chance. Tarleton State University will guarantee scholarship levels to entering first-time freshmen who graduate in the top 50 percent of their high school class.
Students from a Distinguished High School Partner school are eligible for a larger scholarship award level as indicated in the table below. In order to be considered must complete your General Scholarships Application and submit your SAT/ACT scores if applicable. Awards will be divided between fall and spring semesters based on full-time enrollment and be renewable for up to 4 years with satisfactory academic progress.
Students submitting the scholarships application after the February 15 deadline will be eligible as funding allows. It is in the student's best interest to apply as soon as possible.
You can receive other scholarships and might qualify for more than the guaranteed amount. The guaranteed amounts can be funded partially or completely by institutional and/or endowment funds.
