Students who have earned 30 or more transferable credit hours are eligible to transfer to any one of Tarleton State University's campus locations.

  • Any other items requested by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions based on application answers

Undergraduate Admission to Fort Worth, Midlothian, Waco, RELLIS-Bryan, and Online campuses require a minimum of 30 transferable hours, a 2.0 GPA and a student be TSI complete.

If you are a previous Tarleton student but didn't attend for a long semester (spring or fall) and didn't attend any other institution since leaving, you are considered a readmit student.

Requirements for Admission

Applicants must be eligible to enroll at all colleges and universities previously attended and submit final official transcripts from each college or university attended. The following minimum standards must be met:

  • 30 or more transferable credits
  • 2.00 GPA
  • TSI complete

Requirements are subject to changes as outlined from the Academic Standards Committee.

Students are responsible for sending official transcripts from every institution they have attended. Official transcripts can be sent electronically to or mailed to:

Students must send transcripts from every institution previously attended or admission will be denied. Tarleton State University cannot receive transcripts by fax.

Transfer Information Sessions

Transfer Information Sessions

Come to one of our transfer information sessions at our Tarleton Fort Worth location. We offer a session every Friday from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. At the sessions we will go over transfer requirements, programs we offer for transfer students at any of our locations including Stephenville, Waco, Midlothian, RELLIS-Bryan, Global Online, and Fort Worth. We'll include FAQ about our new Fort Worth campus, financial aid, scholarships and so much more. Schedule your session with us today!

To receive a transcript evaluation and an admission decision by the Friday of your session, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions will need to receive the following items at least five days in advance of your selected date:

  • A complete application for admission through ApplyTexas
  • $50 non-refundable application fee
  • Official transcripts from every college you have attended separately
  • Any other items requested by the Tarleton Office of Undergraduate Admissions based on application answers
