Program Benefits and Participating College Partners
Additional benefits for students from a Distinguished College Partner include:
- Automatic admission for individuals that have at least 30 credit hours and at least a 3.0 overall GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
- Application fee waiver for those who meet Tarleton criteria
- Ongoing support from Tarleton such as financial aid, admissions, degree counseling, and more
- Provided a main point of contact from Tarleton, the P-16 Relations Coordinators
President's Guaranteed Scholarship Program
The President's Guaranteed Scholarship Program guarantees a minimum amount in Tarleton scholarships to incoming transfer students based on GPA and course load. Students transferring from a Distinguished College Partner school are eligible for a larger scholarship award level as indicated in the table below:

Academic Advising Guides
Academic Advising Guides are available for each program offered at Tarleton State University. The guides enable you to choose courses that will apply to your degree at Tarleton while attending another institution.

Transfer Information Sessions
We offer online Transfer Information Sessions that are led by one of our Admission Counselors. We will review Tarleton transfer requirements, programs offered, frequently asked questions, academic advising, financial aid, scholarships and more. These virtual sessions are available to students that are interested in attending any of our campus locations.
