A number of them also provide service training and free webinars to inform designers and developers of technology advancements and tricks to making products accessible and usable. To name a few:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/ncam.wgbh.org\/\">National Center for Accessible Media<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.deque.com\/\">Deque<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.knowbility.org\/\">Knowbility<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.levelaccess.com\/\">Level Access (formerly SSB Bart Group)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/webaim.org\/\">WebAIM (Web Accessibility in Mind)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading advgb-dyn-50e24994\">Testing Tools<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-black-background-color has-text-color has-background\">Automated tools can catch a number of compliance issues, however, some will need manual checking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on your product, there are some great testing tools to assist you along the way.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/itaccessibility.tamu.edu\/resources\/tools.php\">Texas A&amp;M University&#8217;s Information Technology&nbsp;Accessibility website<\/a>&nbsp;provide a comprehensive list of tools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI)&#8217;s&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/WAI\/ER\/tools\/\">Web Accessibility Evaluation Tools List<\/a>&nbsp;provide an extended list of tools and filtered searching.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Department of Homeland Security provide&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dhs.gov\/publication\/dhs-section-508-compliance-test-processes\">great examples of Section 508 Compliance Test Processes<\/a>, including baseline tests for software and web accessibility and application accessibility.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Interesting ones that have come down the pipeline recently include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Emerge Interactive&#8217;s\u00a0<abbr title=\"Web Content Accessibility Guidelines\">WCAG<\/abbr>\u00a0Checklist App<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/khan.github.io\/tota11y\/\">tota11y, an accessibility visualization toolkit<\/a>&nbsp;(currently implemented in Tarleton&#8217;s web content management system)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Some enterprise testing tools include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cryptzone.com\/products\/compliance-sheriff\">Compliance Sheriff<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/siteimprove.com\/\">Siteimprove<\/a>&nbsp;(currently implemented at Tarleton for reporting to the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/dir.texas.gov\/View-Resources\/Pages\/Content.aspx?id=36\">Texas Department of Information Resources<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.deque.com\/products\/\">WorldSpace Attest<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are a number of great agencies, firms and organizations that can assist vendors with improving the compliance of their products.
