UAAC Assessment Resources

Members of the University Academic Assessment Committee are trained on topics related to program assessment, SACSCOC standards, assessment best-practices, etc. at the start of each academic year. A refresher training is provided at the start of the spring semester. Training is led by the Assistant Provost for Curriculum and Assessment and the Director of Assessment.

The purpose of the assessment training is to enable the committee to provide constructive feedback designed to help faculty, staff, and administrators implement well-designed academic assessment processes that can be used to craft effective actions leading to student learning improvement.

Archived Assessment Forms

Effective Fall 2024, the General Education and Academic Assessment Committee (GEAAC) was split into two committees: the General Education Committee (GEC) and the University Academic Assessment Committee (UAAC). The committee size and the scope of its responsibilities had become unwieldy with the substantial growth of the university, thus necessitating the split. Previous materials and rubrics are listed below.

  • Annual Academic Program Assessment Rubric – provided academic programs with annual detailed feedback on their program assessment plans (used until Fall 2024)
  • Annual Core Curriculum Course Assessment Rubric – provided academic programs with annual detailed feedback on their core curriculum course assessment plans (used until Fall 2024)
